Marinade is governed by MNDE token holders through on-chain voting and community proposals.

MNDE Token#

Utility#

MNDE provides governance power within the Marinade ecosystem:

• Vote on proposals - Direct protocol changes and parameter updates
• Validator gauges - Influence stake distribution to validators
• Liquidity gauges - Direct MNDE incentives to liquidity pools

Marinade DAO#

The Marinade DAO governs protocol parameters and treasury:

Vote-Escrowed MNDE#

Lock MNDE to receive voting power:

Longer locks = more voting power for the same amount of MNDE.

Validator Gauges#

MNDE holders can vote to direct Marinade stake to specific validators:

1. Lock MNDE in the governance contract
2. Allocate votes to preferred validators
3. Votes are tallied each epoch
4. Stake is distributed proportionally

This creates a market where validators can incentivize MNDE holders to vote for them.

Liquidity Gauges#

Direct MNDE emissions to liquidity pools:

• Vote for pools that should receive MNDE rewards
• Incentivizes liquidity provision for mSOL
• Supports mSOL's DeFi integrations

How to Participate#

1. Acquire MNDE - Available on Jupiter, Raydium, and other DEXs
2. Lock MNDE - Visit governance.marinade.finance
3. Vote - Participate in proposals and gauge voting
4. Engage - Join discussions on Discord and Forum
